1. Product Overview
Pup joints are short high-pressure flowline sections used in oil drilling and production, cementing and fracturing, testing operations, and high-pressure fluid-transfer systems.
Both ends can be configured with threaded, flanged, union, and other connection types. Specifications cover 1 in to 6 in, with rated working pressure from 2,000 psi to 20,000 psi.
Pup joints are available for standard, low-temperature, and H₂S-containing service, and can be selected according to the field manifold system.
The product series includes Integral Pup Joints, Pressure Seal Pup Joints, NPST Pup Joints, Hammer Union End Pup Joints, Integral Flanged Pup Joints and Welded Flanged Pup Joints.
2. Design Features
Pup joints are designed and manufactured according to relevant API 6A requirements and are suitable for high-pressure flowline systems.
The body is made from high-quality alloy structural steel and treated by strengthening and toughening processes to provide good pressure-bearing strength and impact resistance.
The end-union structure eliminates conventional threaded make-up and provides a safer, more reliable connection.
It is easy to install and remove, provides secure connection, and is suitable for frequent assembly and dismantling of field flowline systems.
Multiple sealing structures and high-precision machining help improve overall flowline sealing performance.

4. Operation and Maintenance Notes
Before use, check the nameplate information and confirm that the pressure rating, specification, temperature range, and connection type match the field pup joint / flowline system.
Before service and after dismantling or repair, perform hydrostatic testing and seal inspection according to operating procedures. Put the product into high-pressure service only after confirming there is no leakage.
During service, regularly inspect wall thickness, sealing faces, and connection areas. Replace the product promptly if wear, erosion, or insufficient effective wall thickness is found.
Avoid impact, rain exposure, and contact with corrosive media during transportation and storage. Keep products clean and dry, and manage them by specification.
