High-Pressure Flow Control Equipment

Flowline Safety Clamp

Flowline safety clamps restrain critical high-pressure flowline connections, especially pup joints, swivel joints and hammer union connections. Selection is based on pipe OD and installation position, helping reduce the risk of separation, breakage or whipping during pressure pumping operations.

1. Product Overview

The flowline safety clamp is a secondary restraint intended to limit movement at a compatible flowline connection if the primary connection fails. It does not replace correct make-up, inspection, exclusion zones or pressure-control procedures.

The clamp is used on high-pressure service lines in cementing, fracturing, acidizing, testing, and similar operations to help protect equipment and reduce personnel exposure risk.

Selection is based on line specification, connection type, and available installation space.

2. Design Features

The body uses the specified alloy steel and heat-treatment condition; allowable restraint load depends on the documented material, geometry and test basis.

The clamp provides secondary restraint at compatible flowline connections when installed in the specified position.

Selection shall be based on the applicable pipe OD, connection geometry, installation position and documented restraint capacity.

The split clamp arrangement supports field installation and removal at the documented restraint position after the line is depressurized.
